Graduated from Bauman Moscow Higher Technical School, 1980 with a candidate of technical sciences degree; designer; was selected as cosmonaut on 27.05.1968 (TsKBEM-1); he was involved in the development of Vostok and Salyut space stations; was crewmember of the on 05.04.1975 aborted mission Soyuz 18A (together with Vasili Lazarev); hobbies: Chess, hockey, theatre, reading, traveling, since 1986 he worked again for NPOE.
